Owen Bullock heading

Originally from Cornwall, Owen settled in New Zealand in 1989 and has become passionately involved in its poetry through writing, editing and teaching.

Owen has published a collection of haiku, wild camomile (Post Pressed, Australia, 2009); the novella A Cornish Story (Palores, UK, 2010) and four chapbooks of poetry and haiku.

Owen’s first full collection of longer poems, sometimes
the sky isn't big enough
, appeared from Steele Roberts (New Zealand) at the end of 2010.

Owen’s Masters Thesis, Making Canons and Finding Flowers – A Study of Selected New Zealand Poetry Anthologies, also appeared in book form (VDM, Germany, 2008).

Owen Bullock offers a mentoring service to aspiring poets in which he gives detailed feedback on a selection of their poetry with a view to helping them reach a publishable standard.
